Client: Mr M Branch

Project description: two storey extension approx. 70m² – Passivhaus certified; existing 1970s house to be retrofitted and upgraded with new insulation, windows and internal renovations.

The timber frame structure was built by carpentry students at Cambridge Regional College.

Client Verdict: "Having completed the Self-Build course at the Beattie Passive Training Academy, I was able to start work transforming my 1960s detached house into a stylish and contemporary home with all the benefits of Passivhaus living.
